Core budgeting is local. You choose whether to enable iCloud sync or share a file. Viewing your existing records, CSV export and full local backups remain free—even after Pro ends.
Do I need to connect my bank?
No. Add transactions yourself or bring in a CSV or QIF file. Imports are a Pro feature in 1.1 and remain included for eligible founders. Bank sync is not available in this release.
How manual tracking worksCan I use Penniva offline?
Yes. Core budgeting and on-device import processing work locally. Optional iCloud sync needs a connection, and purchases are handled through Apple.

Manual tracking, accounts, category budgets, recurring items, existing reports and Net Worth views stay free. CSV export and full local backup/restore, including password protection, are free too.
Compare accessCan my iPhone and iPad share a budget?
The submitted 1.1 update adds optional Pro Cloud Sync for your own devices on the same iCloud account. It requires iOS/iPadOS 17 or later, compatible app versions and explicit setup. It is off until you turn it on.
Understand optional syncWhat happens if my Pro access ends?
Your existing financial records remain readable. CSV export and full local backup/restore remain free. Eligible founders keep their grandfathered local features; Cloud Sync requires Pro.
